About Us

The Information Science Research Institute was established at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1990 by a grant from the United States Department of Energy. The overall mission of ISRI is to foster the improvement of automated technologies for document understanding. ISRI has focused its attention on technologies for recognition and retrieval of information from machine-printed documents.
